Long time, no see! No posts since last year! Just been so busy with life in general. But luckily, Elder Crawford has been very consistent in emailing and sending snail mail as well. So let's update!

January 7:

Hey mom, I hope you are feeling better. I love and miss you so much! Its okay about the package, I will get it when it comes. make sure to send through the postal service so that it can be forwarded from the mission home to where I am
You would be surprised about how many missionaries at the MTC got sick before our departure date. I was pretty lucky. The flight was pretty intense. . . We had barely made the next flight to Columbus. I made it here safely though. On the flight here, I met a guy named john as well. We talked about life and faith, and I challenged him to read the Book of Mormon. He was pretty interested and open to try reading it, he also gave me his contact information if we ever wanted to go out and visit with him. Its pretty amazing how easy it is to share the gospel.
So my first area here in The Great Ohio is a town called Fairborn located in Dayton. We cover the Fairborn ward and the Dayton YSA branch. My Companion, Elder Housari is from Surprise AZ. We didnt know each other but we have alot of mutual friends. Small world huh?
Another little fun fact, while I was a zone leader in the MTC, I trained an elder whose home ward is the one I am in right now. The first night I was here, we had Dinner with his family. Its pretty crazy how the lord works!
My P-day is every Monday so that's when I can come over to the Fairborn library and Check my Email. . . I wish I could so more, but I am having a great time out here. I love the people and I love teaching and sharing what i know to be true. Next Monday, I will tell you all about my week.
I love and miss you guys so much. Give my love to the whole family!
Love your Missionary,

Elder John Allan Crawford

P.S. Could you send me the Crawford grandparents address, i want to find out which parts of Dayton still have family in it.

It was really neat to hear how he loves what he's doing.
